Who Says $20 Bucks Can’t be $227000? Homeless Man Became Wealthy After Helping Woman with Car Trouble
Sometimes accidents happen to be the greatest opportunities. On Interstate 27 New Jersey, Kate McClure’s car ran out of gas and she had no money to get help. The situation seemed hopeless until Johnny Bobbitt, a homeless veteran approached with a concern that the area isn’t safe for the 27-year-old at this time.
He took it upon himself to help McClure, walked to a nearby gas station and spent his last $20 to buy her gas. Astonished by this act, McClure was so thankful that she promised to return and repay her debt. And so she did, she often visited him with food, money, and clothes.
However, she always felt she should do more. That’s when she decided to open a fundraiser for him. “I wish that I could do more for this selfless man, who went out of his way just to help me that day,” McClure on GoFundMe. “I truly believe that all Johnny needs is one little break. Hopefully with your help I can be the one to give it to him.” She set a goal of $10,000…
Unexpectedly, though, the fundraiser received 110,000 donations on Thanksgiving. You could think it’s more than enough, but just after one day it reached 230,000!
Humanity and kindness are the best material in a man’s heart. It only took 20 bucks to transform this man’s life.
The funds will be used to buy Johnny a house, a car, and of course, to pay his debts.
